How we use it

Lawful basis
We process your information to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, and where it is in our legitimate interests to run our practice and keep in touch with clients, provided those interests are not outweighed by your rights.
Who we share it with
We share information with HMRC, Companies House and other authorities where required; with software and cloud storage providers who process data on our behalf, some of whom may store data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards; and, with your agreement, with professionals we introduce you to such as mortgage brokers or insolvency practitioners. We do not sell your information. Providing the information we ask for is a requirement of our engagement and, in the case of identity checks, of the law; without it we cannot act for you.
How long we keep it
We keep client records for at least six years after the end of our engagement, in line with HMRC requirements and our professional obligations, and then securely delete them.
Your rights
You have the right to access the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
